If this happens, you’ll be very glad you read this and paid attention because you will have been smart enough to keep your heart and your life safe.

If you are still really excited and happy about them, great!

I’d like to consider it the “do what feels right” rule. Of course waiting 90 days has its significance when committing to a suitor, but the 30-60-90 rule goes out to the ladies who rather not live within deadlines and expectations. You see, the 90 day rule kind of seduces you with hopes and expectations that a stable relationship will form at the end of the term, which may not necessarily be the truth.

On the other hand the 30-60-90 rule releases those expectations, and leaves you with the responsibility to make your own dating guidelines.

Go for another 90 days and see where you’re at then, because now you’re really in authentic getting-to-know-you time. Forgetfulness happens, drinking habits and other personal quirks emerge, possessiveness and jealously rear their ugly heads. Maybe you have found your special lover and it will last a lifetime. Be aware that what you’re feeling in the beginning is instinctive, hormone imbalance meant to promote primitive reproduction.

And as we know, we usually fall in love several times before that happens, so it makes sense to have a plan of action that you can keep yourself safe with when you start falling again. Don’t jump in and start saying “I love you” when in fact it’s really “I just want you!

So, you may want to consider the 30-60-90 day rule.

The 30-60-90 rule is nothing like Steve Harvey’s 90 Day rule.

Meet each other’s friends and try to pay attention to them, they will tell you a lot about your new love. I mean, really, would you loan your car to someone to drive out of state with that you had only known 6 or 8 weeks?
