My antivirus is not updating

Format your drive and Reinstall windows and drivers; then you can start updating and when its done you can make yourself an image file.

Don't just update once but keep clicking "Check for updates" until it comes back with none. This image can be used to prevent you from re-downloading all those updates.

If the issue is with your computer or a laptop/notebook you should try using the Reimage Plus Software which can scan the repositories and replace corrupt and missing files.

This works in most cases, where the issue is originated due to a system corruption.

Type exe -signatureupdate into the Command Prompt and press the Enter key.

This will initiate a Windows Defender update which, hopefully, will be successful.

You can also try updating Windows Defender using an elevated Command Prompt.

Right-click on the Start Menu button to open the Win X Menu. Windows Update gets stuck on "checking for updates"-goes no further. Tried the troubleshooter - stuck on "resolving issues". I have worked in the IT field for over 25 years and I have never come across any anti-virus software that can 100% guarantee that they will stop a virus. Why is it that no anti-virus software has the wording "We Guarantee" because they can't.But Outlook still shows the folder was last updated more than 15 mins earlier. You can see the Sync Stats for the Inbox folder aren't correct (this is missing recent emails), unless you perform any of the above steps: The Outlook Connection Status appears fine: When Outlook is autoconfigured I noticed that the Send/Receive group is configured like this by default: If I tick the check box for "Include the selected account for this group" Outlook still doesn't update the Inbox unless it's closed and reopened.
